FAFSA for CHS Seniors

FAFSA COMPLETION DASHBOARD

In honor of October and UCAW, we are proud to announce the first-ever FAFSA Completion Dashboard available to all high school counselors! USBE has partnered with the Utah System of Higher Education and together we have built a live visual for you to see how your school, LEA, and state is doing with FAFSA Completion. The dashboard shows:

  • Your high school, LEA, and state FAFSA Completion count and percentage rate

  • A comparison of how your school is doing compared to your LEA and the state

  • A visual that separates completion by student groups so you can strategically focus your FAFSA efforts on helping specific groups complete the FAFSA

  • And soon to come in the next year or so will be a comparison of how your monthly FAFSA completion rate is compared to the previous school year

We hope that this dashboard can be a powerful tool as you strategically help students in your schools with the FAFSA. You do need to work at your specific school to see school-level data (LEA and state data are public facings) and you’ll need a login (see below) for that school-level data. If you have technical or login issues please email David Mackay at david.mackay@schools.utah.gov

If you have any FAFSA questions, contact at fafsahelp@ushe.edu.

INSTRUCTIONS TO BE ABLE TO SIGN INTO THE FAFSA COMPLETION DASHBOARD

You should have received an email invitation from Microsoft stating that you are being invited to set up an account in Azure to grant you access to the USBE Tableau Server (to view the FAFSA Completion Dashboard).

  • You'll need to use the email address that received the invitation, along with the password you use with your email address to log in.

  • USBE will not see the password and cannot reset the password; (you would need to work with your IT department for issues with passwords).

  • Once you have set up your permissions in Azure, you will need to go to the following web address: https://tableau.schools.utah.gov where you'll then log in.
